Native to Hispaniola this palm can get to 8 inches in diameter and on occasion to 30 ft tall. The near circular leaves are 4 to five feet wide bright green above and spotlight bright white silver underneath when reflecting the sun’s rays. It is not as cold hardy as argentata and of course like nearly all cocothrinax requires well drained soil.
