Howea belmoreana

The common name "curly palm" is probably because of its re-curved, heavily arching leaves which often time come close to forming a semi-circle. Its use as an indoor palm is suspect because of its susceptibility to mites. Outside it could be magnificent. It's relative, Howea forsteriana (Kentia palm) is much better suited to indoor use.
