Areca catechu v. alba

Attains a maximum height of 15 to 20 feet, but often matures at less than 5 feet in height. It has a thin skinny trunk with dark green crown shaft and glossy dark green leaves. The thin straight trunks were in the past used for spears and more recently as walking sticks. It prefers light shade or morning sun and is endemic to Fiji.
