A highly ornamental small palm which grows to about 12 feet with leaflets that impart a ruffled appearance to the fronds. It needs shade, frequent watering and protection from strong cool drying winds. It would prefer a humus rich well drained soil and this might be an ideal potted palm for the heavily shaded patio.
