Licuala Orbicularis
Said by some to do well indoors, we do not necessarily agree because of the humidity and moisture requirements. Remember your air conditioner is a de-humidifier. It usually has a subterranean trunk with the gorgeous leaves 3 feet wide, with their petioles appearing to come straight out of the ground, reaching 6 to 8 feet in height. Its requirements include, no direct sun, rich soil with good drainage, moisture and warmth, as it is cold sensitive. If indeed it could be used as an indoor palm it would be nothing short of spectacular.
