Thrinax excelsa

In habitat this solitary trunk palm can grow to 35 feet with a trunk diameter of 8 inches. Its large leaves of more than five feet in diameter have their leaf tips pendant providing a very attractive tropical sort of weeping look. It’s not too particular about soils but would require it to be well drained. Though very similar in appearance to T. radiata it is neither cold nor drought tolerant
